The magnificent beauty of glass, and its interplay with light, first caught my eye when I was very young. I created my first piece in 1982. Nature and this journey we call life provide me with inspiration to create and birth each of my works.
Creating stained glass art requires many steps. An idea, an image, a form is first transformed into a set of pattern pieces. These individual pieces are brought to life by the myriad of textures, colors, shades and shapes of glass, and together create the final ensemble.
Although one may think of glass as a cold, hard medium, life is breathed into each piece by heaven's light. As the light changes and reflects to illuminate nature, that light injects movement and flow into glass.
Anne Morrow Lindbergh wisely wrote, "Nothing feeds the center so much as creative work." As I create, my journey takes me within myself. I am honored to share the beauty and results of the process.
